Every year, the Junior League of Detroit distributes Community Assistance Grants to organizations in Wayne County that provide services to improve the health and welfare of children.
The Junior League of Detroit has awarded over $250,000 dollars in community grants, and provides up to $25,000 each year to various community projects and programs, within the Detroit Metropolitan Area.
Our grants have helped in a wide variety of ways – from securing tools and technology, funding field trips, to helping to implement a local recycling program.
Grants are awarded quarterly to non-profit organizations serving the citizens of Detroit and Wayne County.
Building upon their service to the community and its mission to develop the potential of women, the Junior League of Detroit awards up to ten scholarships each year to female graduating high school seniors, each valued at $1,000. Since 2014 the Junior League of Detroit has awarded over $115,00 in scholarships to students who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism in addition to their academic achievements.
