The Junior League of Detroit is focused on improving the lives of children and families in the City of Detroit.

In 2012 the Junior League of Detroit established Project EAT, our major community impact initiative, to create a more food secure community by providing Education, Access and Tools to those in need.

Our valued members continually research and learn about food insecurity in the City of Detroit in order to continually develop projects and programs. We regularly meet with possible community partners, who can help identify and address the health and nutritional needs of children and families in the community, so together we can make an impact.

As the Junior League of Detroit continues its 100-year tradition of community service that began in 1914 with 47 visionary women, we continue to celebrate our past successes while moving forward into the next 100 years, focusing on the needs of the community and determine the best and most impactful practices.
