The Junior League of Detroit Kids in the Kitchen (KITK) program focuses on preparing healthy foods, and promoting child health and wellness. By empowering parents, and their children, to make healthy lifestyle choices the KITK program provides children with ongoing nutritional education with the goal of preventing obesity and its associated health risks.

The JLD’s KITK program is now in it’s 12th year.  We have organized over 20 events and have impacted the lives of over 600 children in the area of Detroit. Events have been held in partnership with:

Carsten’s Elementary School
Detroit Merit Academy
